This ultra-compact GPS navigator has an internal antenna, and (unlike the 200-250 series’ of Nuvi’s) it does have the critical text-to-speech feature, so street and highway names will be spoken aloud.
There have been tons of deals on the Nuvis this past week, here is some background info:
The Garmin Nuvi is arguably the best GPS system. They are always very highly ranked by Consumer Reports and other rating agencies.
I personally tried out many GPS systems before settling on the Nuvi series, and have never looked back.
They are:
-Very compact and lightweight.
-Much quicker to lock onto satellites than other GPS units.
-Very intuitive and easy to use.
-Have excellent points of interest.
-All of the Nuvis numbered 300 and higher have text-to-speech, meaning that they speak the actual street names that you will need to turn onto. This is a very important feature to look for when you’re buying a GPS unit!
Bluetooth is a nice feature to have on your GPS unit. The Nuvi easily syncs with any bluetooth phone. It will automatically have your entire phone’s phonebook and voice-dialing capabilities. Any outgoing or incoming phone calls will be routed through the Nuvi’s speaker and microphone while you’re driving. The incoming caller’s information will be displayed on the Nuvi, and you will have the option of accepting or rejecting the phone call.
The Nuvi 600 series units retain the compactness of the 300 series, but adds a noticeably bigger and easier to read screen.

Garmin Nuvi 660-$399.99 (Compact, but with a larger screen size, has bluetooth and traffic)

The advantage of this GPS over the the Nuvi 650 is that it comes with bluetooth.
It is also more compact and has a smaller screen, which could be better or worse for you…

In general the Nuvi’s numbered x60 have more features than the ones numbered x50.
This Nuvi has bluetooth and a 90 day traffic subscription.
With bluetooth, you can easily sync your entire phone to the GPS, and be able to make voice-activated calls and have your entire phone book right from the Nuvi!

This is an incredible price for the Nuvi 650. My experience with the Nuvi’s is that they are head and shoulders above any other portable GPS in terms of satellite lock speed, maps, user interface, design, portability, and many other features.
Best of all? Costco still has a lifetime return policy on GPS Navigators!
Worried about it being refurbished? Buy it on your Starwood AMEX and have a 3 month return privilege in case you’re not happy with it!
The nuvi’s are consistently ranked as one of the best portable GPS systems around.
