As this posts falls off this page it will be great if people could discuss their trips on the Dansdeals Forums in this Bahamas trip reports thread! There’s also a seperate thread on the Forums started by “APoshiterYid” to post your travel dates in order to coordinate minyanim, so check it out!
Update 8, 03/03 at 2:30pm: There are now dates for NYC-Freeport, Bahamas for as low as $61.64 including nonstop airfare and 4 days of lodging! There are also still plenty of dates for free trips from Fort Lauderdale. I’m sure there are other great deals to be had from other cities and dates as well. See update 6 below for how to stay in a better hotel.

Update 6: Still alive as of 6:40pm. Commenter “Excited” notes a great strategy for a small family. He booked one ticket for a much nicer hotel room for an extra $78 over the 4 nights and the rest of the family’s tickets at the cheapest hotel available. They’ll all stay in the one room at the nicer hotel and won’t even have to bother checking for the additional rooms at the cheaper hotel! He also notes how to change the default flight should you want a different flight option. Great tips!

OK, this really works folks!!!
-You need to book each passenger separately so they can each use the $400 coupon.
-Travel is valid through 12/22/10, but is not valid between 03/19-04/10.

Here is a sample itinerary with full instructions to get a free vacation!

Information Week was actually required reading and used instead of a textbook for one of my more interesting MBA courses (“Deploying Information Technology For A Competitive Advantage.” The prof said that the registrar almost had a heart attack over the length of the course title!)
It actually makes for quite a good read, there’s a lot of neat stuff tech stuff in there.

I posted back in August about the opportunity to get Windows 7 Ultimate edition for free by attending a Microsoft event.
This past week my wife and I had the distinct pleasure of attending the Microsoft event in Cleveland. As the NYC and LA events are coming up I figured that a short post about what happens might be helpful.
We had registered for the afternoon event. The event was scheduled to run from 1:15pm-4:45pm and registration was open from 11:35am-1:55pm. We showed up at about 1:30pm and got a bag of “goodies” along with a survey that had to be completed and a coupon redeemable for a copy of Windows 7 after the event.
There were a few different presentations available, but it was plainly obvious by the monotone drone of the presenters that this was no Apple event…
There were a good number of people seen taking the side exits to return when they could pick up their copy of Windows 7
We were able to get our copies at about 3:15pm with just a bit of cajoling. Only the 32-bit version of Windows 7 Ultimate was available on the spot, so they signed me up to receive the 64-bit version (A faster version of windows which can recognize more RAM than the traditional 32-bit, but is not compatible with some older programs) within a few weeks.
