This is great. I can save about $300 this semester alone on Law Case books.

The problem is that I already ordered new books from Amazon. What is Amazons return/shipping policy on unopened books.

How about if I take off the plastic and actually read a chapter in the book?

Dan/Ctownbochur

@Freddie:
Amazon will take any book back within 30 days without a problem.

I ordered a few books for my wife this semester from college book renter, typically $200 books for just $50 or so, and so far they’ve all come brand new straight from amazon!

How crazy is that?

welllll

whats the story if its damaged?
can you write on it ?

Freddie

Have you ever hi-lighted in a rented book?

Esther

Any idea what condition these books are in?

Hocker

I have used Chegg throughout Law School. Books usually come in great condition and you are allowed to highlight them.

Freddie

@Hocker:
Speaking of Law School, did you ever find that you needed the case book for more than just the single semester?

esther

did anyone use the coupon codes for the college book renter site i tried putting in the code for the 5 dollars off and the 5% off which can be combined and when i go the checkout page it does not take anything off only the free standard shipping. any ideas why its not working?

Dan/Ctownbochur

@esther:
Yes, I’ve used them and they still work.
Make sure you are putting the 2 codes in the right places as described in the post.

esther

Thanks it worked

Hocker

@Freddie: Some people keep them so the casebooks will look impressive in the bookshelves of their future law firm offices. But no, you will not ever use them again.

I used bookrenter.com and amazon. I bought my daughter’s books for $148 while others are spending over $400. This is the WAY to go for the books that you have to buy over $100

Lynch

My daughter called frantic that she has the wrong book. the cheapest was collegebookrenter with the stackable codes. But the total and my confirmation total were different. I tried to call and the number wasn’t working. The email doesn’t go thru as well. Has anyone else had any problems with them? I hope they send it to her quickly.
