Curious – is there anything really good at Sam’s Club, or do people use it for anything in particular? I have never been, wondering if it’s even worth the trip. I signed up for the groupon BJ’s last year and went once just to look around, made one purchase there all year, wasn’t worth my time.
For NYC folks, Google Express is only available in Manhattan.
There are no Sam’s Clubs in NYC. Driving to NJ defeats the discount.

I bought a Sam’s membership on Groupon last year, just to check it out, no high aspirations but willing to give it a try. Now i use it all the time. It’s as good as Costco for most things (other than ambiance) and much closer to my home. It’s my go-to for gas, produce, cheap milk with good hechsher and no BGH, fabulous hot-smoked salmon (OU), and regular items like Ziploc bags, cleaning supplies, etc.
Please note, though, that neither Sam’s nor Costco in my area has a huge amount of kosher food — just the same stuff you’d find in a regular supermarket. So if you’re near a good kosher Costco (NY, MD, somewhere like that, just enjoy it and feel sorry for us in the Midwest.)
