The checked suitcase weights 9.5 lbs
That leaves 39.5 pounds to pack
I rather a soft side light weight suitcases

Dan

@Jacob Eis:
9 pounds is pretty light. What does that weigh?

@Anonymous: I would avoid ABS and prefer a 100% polycarbonate shell. ABS is a plastic that can crack or break. Polycarbonate or PC is also a type of plastic but it’s stronger. ABS suitcases are always cheaper than PC suitcases.
