Good deal but really sad because this means the end of Blackberry handsets.

Priv has BB hub, but no pinch/filter capabilities

A real killer for me.

For those who don’t know BB hub:
It’s a one-stop dumping ground (similar to android notification swipe-down area but much more functional) for sms, email, voicemail, twitter, whatsapp, etc. etc. – you choose what to include. You can read, respond, from within hub (opens respective apps), AND mark as read/unread WITHOUT OPENING ANYTHING. Tap on the icon on the left side of a item to mark as read/unread or on the right side to reply/trash (you choose what “quick task” should be where).
IMHO this is the most functional and time efficient means of managing all these items.
Also has pinch-to-filter (pinch on the screen to filter (show) only items that are unread/flagged/sent etc…) which I set up for unread, so anything I may have missed gets grouped for quicker access instead of scrolling till who knows when to find that one unread message (pinch-to-filter and mark read/unread works in the native BB SMS app as well!)

Anyone know of an OS (other than BB10) or SMS app that can:
Mark SMS read/undread without opening the sms?

@Yanky: do you have any idea why my whatsapp doesn’t come in to the hub?

avi

@Yanky: could you help me solve the issue why the whatsapp messages don’t come in to the hub in my new bb priv?

Dave

You can get all the bb priv apps including hub and search to work perfectly on any android device. I have the hub working great on my s6. Download the blackberry app manager here https://cobalt232.github.io/blackberrymanager/

But still no pinch to filter like BB10. At leat not yet. They say soon…..

I assume u updated the priv?

For now, I ditched my S5 with marshmallow update (which allowed for the priv version of bb hub), because of the issues I posted above.
I am sure that it will be fixed in a future update, but until then, I need to be able to work and not be slowed down.
