Daily Getaways advertises these sales as being 6 nights in Hawaii or 3 nights in Scottsdale, but in reality they’re much more flexible than that.
The 6 nights in Hawaii certificates are actually good for any Fairmont Collection A, B, or C hotel, so you can also use them at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Vancouver, voted the best hotel in Canada. Or you can use them at Fairmont Mayakoba, half an hour south of Cancun among dozens of other hotels. Mind you, the Kea Lani Maui isn’t a bad redemption either 😀
The 3 nights in Scottsdale certificates can be used for any Fairmont Collection A or B hotel. That means you can also use them at the picturesque Fairmont Banff Springs or Chateau Lake Loiuse among dozens of other options.

–Hyatt Place Legacy Village will be the first hotel within walking distance of Cleveland’s Jewish community when it opens in July. Rates for Gold Passport members are $270/night with tax, but you can book the room for just 5K points. If you buy points at 1.04 cents each that’s like paying just $52 for the room.
-Hyatt Place LaGuardia charges about $325/night with tax, but you can book the room for 12K points. If you buy points at 1.04 cents each that’s like paying just $125 for the room.

There are no property specific Ovation certificates, just category certificates. And people have confirmed that from past DG sales.
There are no blackout dates with Ovation certs, but they do need to have a base Fairmont room for sale.

In your experience, are the Hyatt points one of those deals that you would expect to sell out within minutes?
Having trouble figuring out how much it would cost to spend one night at the Fairmont Pacific Rim in August. Would the collection B certificate cover it? Would there be any leftover?
