I bought this in 2009 but TSA took it in 2013. I have never seen better blades as compare to Swiss army knifes. I paid $40-$50 bucks on eBay for it at that time. I don’t think it’s $280 but for less $50 I’ll get it.

No cancellation email sent to me either.

First (Pakistani, Indian, Hindu – definitely NOT US based) rep tried to tell me that they canceled due to stock shortage. When I basically called bull#@&* on that and told them I had a confirmation number, she said it was because I paid “too little”. I laughed and told her I think I paid “too much”, and that excuse wouldn’t fly with me either.

Finally after 5 minutes, she returns and tells me there was a pricing error, and they didnt have inventory, but that it will be relisted with new inventory and the right price soon. Told her to stop using “inventory bs excuse”.

Asked her if they are going to honor the price THEY listed. She said no, at which point I asked for a supervisor.

LONG HOLD PERIOD

Supervisor – English speaking US based (thank you Hashem). Explained that while I do understand that Amazon may have made a pricing mistake, I do NOT appreciate being fed bogus reasons why my order was canceled, and not even getting a cancellation email. She seemed sympathetic, placed me on hold to contact “marketing” and came back to tell me that they will be relisting the item, and while she cannot give me 4 at that price, she will send me an email allowing me to buy ONE at the error price.

A nice gesture, now lets see IF I get the email, and IF they relist it for sale by Amazon.

Lesson learned – these things are a huge time waste and NOT worth the inconvenience.

Just Rcvd cancellation email. As an Amazon seller, I would never get away with it. But they play by their own rules.

Mistakes happen, it’s not something to complain about. Further, it’s also possible for emails to not be sent the second something changes on one’s account. No real reason to drive some customer service rep nuts over something like this, or act like you’re owed something and Amazon should give you ten years of Prime in addition to the item.

My order went missing last night around 9pm. No email was sent from Amazon. I then checked under cancelled orders for the order number. I then sent a short email to cs-reply@amazon.com with the order number and a politely worded letter expressing my dissatisfaction on how this was handled; ending with a request for some sort of compensation for the time I spent.

This morning I had an email back from Amazon stating pretty much the same content as the responses above with one major difference: they added a $20 credit for my next purchase.

I really does pay to be nice.

My original purchase was confirmed and subsequently cancelled by Amazon as a pricing error

i just chatted with Amazon and after complaining that the order was cancelled they offered me a $20- courtesy credit on my account.
