Delta and JetBlue have some amazing pricing for travel between JFK and beautiful Liberia, Costa Rica.

One-way travel from JFK to LIR is $80.55, one-way travel from LIR to JFK is $106.23, and round-trip travel is $184.98.

Note: Read the CDC travel notice about Zika here before booking travel to Latin America. To date there have been no locally acquired Zika infections on the US mainland, though US territories like Puerto Rico do have locally acquired infections.

Liberia is home to the Hyatt Andaz Papagaio, a highly rated resort and one of the best point values in the Hyatt system. I’d be surprised if it doesn’t become pricier during the next Hyatt category shuffle. For example on March 7th the least expensive room is $750+tax=$932.25. Or you can use just 15K Chase or Hyatt points for the same room. Or you can use a free anniversary night from the Hyatt Visa. Or you can use 7.5K points plus $100 with points+cash, though those awards are capacity controlled and are subject to resort fees. The regular 15K and anniversary awards are not capacity controlled and are not subject to resort fees.

Delta: JFK to Liberia valid dates:
April 8, 12, 19, 28, 30

I booked yesterday for two, total price: $380 ($190 each). Great deal. Keep in mind checked baggage is an extra fee. Which area is recommended to stay by in order to get the most out of the trip?
