ANA, Delta, and United have some incredible fares to Tokyo. The lowest fares are from Chicago or Los Angeles to Tokyo, but there are amazing fares from cities across the US to Tokyo.
For example:
-Boston-Tokyo from March 15-24 is $582 on United.
-Philadelphia-Tokyo April 5-13 is $607 on United.
-Baltimore-Tokyo April 5-13 is $623 on United.
-Cleveland-Tokyo March 14-22 is $627 on United.
-Miami-Tokyo March 23-April 4 is $627 on United.

Early April is Cherry Blossom season in Tokyo and Kyoto and is a wonderful time to visit. From March 13-27 there is a Sumo tournament in Osaka and from May 8-22 there is a Sumo tournament in Tokyo.

Booked this last week from LAX for $390 and taking a positioning flight from ORD. Quite possibly the first deal where it would’ve made sense to wait. Oh well nature of the beast.

When booking on priceline (not Name your price), I ended up with a cnx involving DL and Cathay Pacific. Same fares but there was a $7 Priceline fee (no fee for all DL flights). If cancelled during the courtesy window, is the Priceline fee refunded as well?

Also booked this last week, ORD to NRT nonstop on ANA for $465 ($30 for Sunday departure and a couple more days in Tokyo totally worth it). Availability was all over the place last week so I got a bunch of friends in too! Also so glad to be flying ANA economy instead of a US carrier.

Only question now is where to credit the miles. Given that it’s a K booking and the recent United devaluation I’m thinking of starting up an ANA account. Thoughts on that vs Singapore/Aeroplan/United? I’ve got a decent bank of UR and MR…
