Northern lights on your bucket list? This sale coincides with the best time of the year to see them!

DDF’ers SomethingFishy, whYME, and ChAiM’l went to Iceland last year on a PhotoDO. (I was hoping to join, but they picked dates that overlapped my brother’s bar mitzvah) and their pictures have bumped the northern lights further up my bucket list. No word on whether they took a journey to the center of the Earth while in Iceland, but their pictures are just stunning.

They’re still in middle of the epic trip report, but just take a look at their latest installment here and prepare to be in awe.

And while you’re on DDF take a gander at the rest of the trip report board to inspire your next trip.

Alexander

Went to Iceland this past summer. Well worth the trip!

Justchecked

Cheapest that comes up is 508 on both priceline and orbits

Dan

@Justchecked:
Are you searching with a Saturday night in Iceland?

Justchecked

When searching ewe no luck at all, when searching nyc some dates have single tickets with one way through ewr, Iceland is indeed beautiful

Dan

@Justchecked:
Please post what dates you searched.

Alexander

Iceland is one of the few countries with NO Chabad! Care to start one, Dan?

MR

For some reason when trying to book my family, 2 Adults and one in-lap child it charges me 590
Any ideas?
Do i need to book each individual?

Dan

@Alexander:
Go for it.

@MR:
Try without the lap child?

Menachem

Tried booking 2/21-2/29 for two adults and one inlap child.
Total is 590+.

Will it only work if I book all adults separately?

MR

@Dan: as long as it’s more then one adult in the search it’s 590 if I only search one adult I get the fare u posted

Dan

You can try booking individually.
If the fare goes up you can always cancel the ones you booked and try another date.

Achshell

@Menachem: Maybe that’s the total for all passengers?

Moeshe Schlomo

Have tried many combinations from JFk/EWR that you listed and lowest is $620

Menachem

@Achshell: no, it’s per person.

Dan

@Moeshe Schlomo:
Without posting what dates you’re searching how can I help exactly?
Are you including Sat night in KEF?

Dvorah Leah

is the dollar strong in iceland?
anyone know if this is an expensive place to travel in?

PBaruch

@Dvorah Leah – Iceland is very expensive but well worth it.

Moeshe Schlomo

So don’t get mad at me because your deal not working. I’m not only one saying this. I tried March 1-8 and almost every combination in February.

Dan

@Moeshe Schlomo:
You have it backwards.
Don’t get mad at me just because you don’t know how to search Priceline:

Deal works just fine.

Moeshe Schlomo

I love you, you silly man. Happy New Year to you.

Chris

Debating whether to jump on this or wait for the new nonstop offering from my hometown of Chicago in March.
