So I got the 68 JFK-LAS but the flights from PSP shot up to 135 so I purchased my return LAS-JFK fr 117. I used Priceline for both, tickets are pending but I’m optimistic. My trip date is 1/10-1/13, THANX DAN

I appreciate the info, but rental + gas add up, and frankly I’d rather spend my time relaxing than going on another roadtrip. There’s a time and place for everything.

Avo

For all those who do plan on doing the LAS-PSP road trip, I noticed that Budget is offering a convertible for $28/day (so if I rented it from Sun evening to Thur evening, my total would be $171
). I know it’s January and not ideal convertible weather but I figured some might be interested anyway. Also, it’s just a reservation, you don’t actually have to take it.

booked NYC-LAS 1/11 / PSP-JFK 1/14 – $116.20 per tix – 2 tix
thanks Don

@Avo:

whats the best site to use to book one way car rentals?

@dan fan: R’ Shusterman rents a stunning kosher villa with private pool and jaccuzi in Rancho Mirage -(10 minutes from Palm Springs) for $$$$ if interested. You can do the Indian Canyons, horseback riding, go on the Aerial Tramway…At about 4:30 pm go to Marriott on Country Club Rd- you can see the beautiful parrots there until 5, then take the free gondola ride there. And just RELAX and enjoy the stunning weather and views.

…and there’s also Desert Hill Premium Outlets for those who enjoy good retail therapy

even if i get the car, 3rd party liability will kill me. is there a way to get around this? and get around that issue in israel for my upcoming trip?

@Anonymous: Try them all: kayak.com, autoslash.com, costcotravel.com
Keep monitoring (autosalash does it for you but sometimes you can find costcotravel.com cheaper than autoslash.com). Also sometimes you can get amazing deals on priceline.com’s “Name your own price”!
