GoPro HERO4 Session, Head Mount, And 32GB SD Card For Just $199.99 Shipped From Amazon!

Okay, time to short GoPro stock. Obviously Q4 sales aren’t going as well as they would like.

Just 2 months ago this camera was $399.99. This is some deep discounting without a doubt.
Probably misjudged market demand for it.

@Dan: The stock has been slaughtered since August when it was in the 60s, now it is 18-something.

A lesser camera in every way (but size) than the Silver, yet priced the same.

Was just not gonna work.

I wonder what they were thinking pricing it at $399?
A little market research should have shown that to be untenable.

The Session’s main audience is hardcore adventurers and athletes, for whom saving a couple of ounces and centimeters is an incredibly valuable feature. This audience has no problem ponying up $400.

I’d imagine that they’ve achieved market saturation, so they’re now trying to get the average Joe to buy it as well.

Call me a sucker, but I went for it. I travel a lot and always resisted getting a GoPro because I can barely get through my photos and just a thought of editing videos makes me cringe. But for this form factor, figured I’d give it a shot. Backpacker travel style here so every ounce and every inch counts (I threw away my regular pen when I got one of those twisty mini pens in South African amenity kit).

@mark I hate to say it but that time was months ago..At 15$ the co will start to look really interesting again going into next years product cycle.

for 199$ this is a great deal for a good sports camera. It was never worth 399 or even 299$ but here we are at a nice level and package.
