Obvious question is this permissible on Yom Kippur or any fast for that matter ?

Wondering. Can you please enlightenen us which rabanim hold it is asur? I asked 4 rabanim in Lakewood and they all told me it’s mutar if you will get a strong headache that will make you go to bed.

They are %100 mutar I get them from my pharmacy in CH every year.

you can also buy time release caffeine capsules that you take before yom kippur

is it hard to use these? can someone please explain how you take these if you don’t put them in your mouth? is it like a nicotine patch?

I’ve been using these for years and they work so well it really feels like u had ur cup of coffee that morning! My father is both a rabbi and a pharmacist and says its 100% muttar and all his patients love it!

Rav Shlomo Miller holds as long as you take them before you get a headache they are %100 fine, as told to me by a Lakewood posek (who also takes them).

A man asks his Rabbi before Yom Kippur if it’s okay to use a caffeine suppository on Yom Kippur because he is addicted to coffee. The Rabbi looks into it and rules that its permitted.

The next day the man goes to the drugstore and orders 150 caffeine suppositories.The pharmacist asks him why so many?

He responds, “I am sponsoring Kiddush!”

I asked my Rav, he said absolutely allowed, even on yom kippur and Tisha bav. Its not considered derech achilah.
From personal opinion, if you can get over the ick factor, they are amazing- They really do work.
