I flew this route a few months ago, it was great. You also get an invitation card to the lounge at JFK. But not from toronto.
Flight is quick, get a nice little snack a glass of wine and a quick 15 min power nap!

3 bags when using Avios. Mom just flew it on $ and ticket stipulated 2 bags.
