Anyone care to describe their business class experience with transaero?

yanky

FLAT BED?

Dovid

This fare has been available for a while. Nothing new here.

Andrew Lock

I may be wrong but I don’t believe it’s business class. I think that the websites are just confused by the fare code.

Ben

I have flown on this airline in business (as a free upgrade). This is not your usual business class, its at best an upgraded economy, you just get a recliner instead of a regular chair. Tho it is better then any economy class, but it is way below the business class standard.

Flew on similar fare (actually 1530) about a week ago, it was cheaper than other airlines economy Fare!

VKO business lounge has only one shower, when I was there no hot water was available. Cold shower is better than no shower. Instead of a towel you get some kind of huge disposable bath sheet, not very absorbent, so you might want to have your own towel.

Also noted that air-conditioning was not working.

Ari

How good/bad is their business class? What would you/anyone compare it to? Thx

Dovid

Ben – I was thinking of flying with them. Thanks for telling ,e.

Can’t find any dates… Tried Jul 27 – Aug 4 and others. It shows those dates available when using “Flexible Dates?
Search +/- 3 days” but when I click the cheaper fare it loads $3000+ each ticket

Moish

Anyone know how the legroom in these seats compares to the better airlines coach legroom?

yanky

with aeroflot its $1200 with 13000 delta points….

travel expert

this is going on for a while but i didnt had any chance to post it

aeroflot is fliying jfk-moscow twice a day and they have two diffrent aircrafts one is the 777 with fully flat in addition they have a premiunm economy section with reclinening seats

and the other is airbus a330 with 166 degree recliner in busines and no premium economy section

and since they dont have premium economy on that aircraft they will give you business (not fully flat) instaed

and that only if you booking it from jfk-tlv in premium but if you gonna book jfk-moscow it will be regular business

bottom line jfk-tlv in premium fare will give you jfk-moscow business class in Z class and moscow-tlv in premium economy (on the 777) in A class for about $1200 plus 13000 delta points

this tickets you can only book on aeroflot website or with a local travel agent cus if you goona put in premium economy on orbits they will give you with the long layover and the 777

Andrew Lock

I take back my previous comment. Definitely biz.
Also, the fares are available from Transaero.ru for $1457.
My sample date at that price is 7/22-7/28

Dan

@Andrew Lock:
When you click through those seem to switch to economy.

chaim

$1,579 on priceline…save couple bucks

Harry

The Transaero experience is great for those who didn’t know what real Business Class is. The transfer times in Moscow are very long and you cannot leave the airport without a $100 a shot visa unless you have an Israeli passport. Aeroflot on their 777 is quite reasonable but nowhere near European Business class standards.

ja

how dose the Aeroflot $1200 plus 13k delta points work ?

Herbert the fool

I would not trust any Russian airline. They have a very high crash rate and a poor safety record. I do not trust them. Not worth the worry and stress to save a few bucks.

mendy

is this deal still alive? i cant seem to find it
