Which airline?

bbbb

Sorry, I see the “American” now

Mo

Not working comes out to 219

Dan

@Mo:
For the same effort you could have posted which dates and route you tried booking and I would have tried to help you out…

bob

Trying to book fort Lauderdale to Chicago April 7th to 13th when I try and book it says “fare unavailable” ??

Dan

@bob:
April 7th is not listed as a valid date in this post.

Andrew

Is this only round Trip?

joe

i tried booking flu to chicago march 12 and returning march 13 comes up 218??

Dan

@Andrew:
Read the post.

@joe:
Those are not valid dates, please read the post.

Mark

Dan,

I tried to book from Chicago to Ft Lauderdale, leaving Chicago on Feb 10th and returning on Feb 17th – but the lowest price was $300.

Any advice on how to get the $98.20 fare?

thanks,

Mark

Dan

@Mark:
That is not a valid return date, please read the post.

chaim

Just Booked 6 tickets FLL to ORD 5/27 – 6/3 and got the $98 fare thanks @Dan

I noticed Spirit Air has flights for $34 each way on this route.I also noticed that you seldom post good deals from Spirit, why not ?

Dan

@chaim:
Yay, someone can read 🙂

@Anonymous:
Looks like $82 with tax to me.

Considering Spirit charges $70 round-trip for a carry-on and $60 for a 40 pound checked bag ($110 for a 50 pound carry-on) when paid in advance, and charges $3 for water what’s the better deal?

everyone

@Anonymous:
Spirit sucks.

rebyid

Dan, the dates that you posted, are they the only dates that are available? Or there’s other days available as well, you don’t post all possibilities?

Dan

@reb yid:
As the post says “Below is a list of all possible valid dates.”

Ahmed

Guys, instead of complaining and moaning, it would be nice reading the post. I mean the poor guy (Dan) even was nice enough to list dates he manually searched for!
I won’t be using this, but thank you as always for letting us know about these amazing deals Dan, truly appreciated.

Ron

Dan,
Do you laugh or cry when you see that almost everyone is virtually illiterate?

Dan

@Ron:
Makes me question humanity as a whole 😉

Ron

@Dan: Yes, indeed…
On a different topic, do you have any thoughts re the 50k offer for the Southwest Airlines card? Thank you.

Chicagoan

Dan you da man! Bought 7 for da whole mishpacha.

This is why I suffer through the random amazon deals stuff and gift card craziness, for awesome deals like this!

mark

Is there any downside to booking through the chase ultimate rewards website-not using miles but using my chase card.?

Dan

@Ron:
Good offer as long as you don’t mind the cattle call.

@Chicagoan:
Enjoy.

@mark:
That only gives a value of 1-1.25 cents per point.
You can do a lot better saving them for another use or even just selling the points.

Chicagoland

Sweet, now we can go down for the Milt’s truck if it ever gets down there… In this case wouldn’t it be better to put the tickets on hold with American, which gave me until midnight on Monday to book them?

Shirin

Would like a bunch of tickets from ny to la for march. We have a wedding march 14th. My parents will go whenever – can spend time with friends an family. They’re dates are flexible to travel. I see Chicago to la is a deal. But what about ny to la or ny to Chicago so I can then catch the Chicago to la flight. ??? Any suggestions?? Thanks!!!

Ma nishma

@Ron:

Now that Dan questions humanity, do you as well? You sound
Like a superior human being who has mastered the art
Of brown nosing 🙂

Hi Dan,

In reference to comments # 13 & 14. Spirit ORD – Fll leaving Feb. 3 and returning Feb.10 rings up $68.20 at Spirit.com.If I travel with a family of 6 the airfare totals $409.20 three checked bags adds $180 for a grand total of $589.20. In this case AA will be the same price including free water but requiring me to lug my baggage by hand.

Oft-times I travel with luggage that fits under the seat (short trips) which is free, beating Spirit at their game.Basically I find Spirit a true player to factor when using cash to pay for flights, so long as you can handle their no-frills attitude.

kabukijuul

Just picked up 4 tickets for 5/20-6/3. Was going to use miles, but this was so cheap I am going to save them. Thanks Dan!! You are awesome!

Leslie Goldmeier

Why does priceline not say you can cancel the ticket within 24 hours? It says ticket is non-refundable and changes are not allowed.

Anonymous

Thanks Elchonon. Bought two tix.

hf

there are 157 roundtrip to nyc as well from chiccago (its a pretty decent price) they have on united, jetblue and american but unless you have status on united or american than get the jetblue ones for free luggage

Annie Maryles

Got 2 tickets – Thanks

Avigayil

How do u book this and is there any similar deal from New York ?

Tamar

Hi,
id like to book 3 tickets from Chicago to fll from March 4-10. Can you help me book?

Tamar

Nevermind, did it. Thanks!!

Gelt fresser

Anybody knows of any good deals on Passover hotel?

Ash

If I only need one way, is there any reason not to buy a round trip ticket and not use the second half?

Eli C

Just booked 5 tix FLL-ORD 4/1-14. Thanks Dan & Elchonon!!

Lee

Hi Dan,

This is a great deal. Thanks for sharing. On a side note, do you know if ANA is charging fuel surcharges with PEK-ORD-PEK on United? (or PVG-ORD-PVG – I don’t have enough miles with ANA to pull it off) Thanks in advance!

Lee

@Ash: If you’re going one way try Spirit Air, you may come out ahead even after paying $3 for a drink etc

Elchonon

#28.
What exactly do you save or gain ? A cancelled flight will screw you big time, worthless point earnings? Btw if you book this direct on aa I heard it’s 87$

jimmy

is this deal still active? i put in 2/4-2/10 and american is showing $160

Ash

seems over…should have booked earlier 🙁
