I was able to change the good housekeeping subscription after the order was made. the first issue will still be sent to the U.S. address, but the magazine company (hearst) accepted the address change to a canadian address.

Hi,

I live up in Canada, and I understand all these offer are for US addresses only.
Does anyone have any experience or knowledge if one can initially subscribe to a US address and then request a “change of address” to my Canadian Address.

Any advice would be appreciated.

No.
The magazines have an option for auto-renewal, but that is not the default option, you would have to change it to auto-renewal in the drop-down menu of each magazine.
