Yitzy

Does united also have deals for flights made outside the USA? i.e. from TLV to MAN (Manchester, UK)

Yossi

Hi Dan,
An unrelated question,

When you book an award domestic flight with 1. Us airways 2. United 3 delta, and you are not a card holder do you have a free bage checked in or only if you are a card holder?

Thanks.

ya

Would these rates also work for one way

GB

Anyone had any luck getting United to reduce the price of an award booking that was made prior to the release of this discount? I booked a domestic flight to ASE in late Jan for 25k and am planning to see if United will credit me 5k back but curious if others have tried this.

Jacob

So Dan, as the real maven, can you perhaps tell us where the real sweet spots of this promo are? Please save us time from surfing to other places to find out.
Thank you so much!

Dan

@Yitzy:
I’m not aware of any.

@Yossi:
Only if you are a cardholder.

@ya:
Read the post.

@GB:
Unlikely but you can try.

I just rebooked a flight to FLL, but I’m a 1K, so there’s no redeposit fee to do that.

@Jacob:
The sweet spots are wherever you want to be…

Dan's the Man

Why not Tel Aviv?

joseph

Dan when I book a ticket with flying blue miles can I make a free stop over for a few nights ?

Willie

Most Thurs to Sun Florida flights are not available at the 10K offer

mike

which is the best partner airline in business to get to TLV? which one is the best connection?

once in Europe whats the best way to get from Europe to TLV?

ingvar

Can I book random dates far into the future and then call to change date (at no charge) when i am ready to travel?

Jewish

is this considered cheap for Florida? I get a total of 40,000 and $22

Dan

@joseph:
Not on a promo award.

@mike:
Swiss and Austrian are nice.
You can take Air Berlin for 10K Avios from Germany.

@ingvar:
Unlikely.

@Jewish:
That’s for 2 RTs.
Depends on the cost of a paid ticket.

esther12

does this bring the value of united miles up if I were to sell them? is it higher then 1.4cents each now?

sholom

i have 70k points need to get to the uk WHATS MY BEST BET?

@sholom

Try united saver coach award for 60k

Moshe Maeir

Just made a reservation on UA. TLV-MIA business for only 70k
So I guess it sometimes works on TLV also

ari

Dan, off topic is there a way for current AMEX holders to get the year of Amazon Prime AMEX offer? I called them and they told me I am not eligible.

AE

@Moshe, I think that’s a standard pricing for TLV-MIA on UA

Anonymous

@AE:
70K sounds like good deal in business to TLV

Sharon

Does this apply to flights to tel aviv from Chicago? When I went to look they were more than the 35k

Advil

@Sharon Chicago isn’t in Europe, last I checked.

Gold

When flying with a lap infant how do you redeem one miles ticket for the adult and infant? whenever I try it asks for double miles.
Thank you

Eli

Btw $384 from nyc to tlv round trip is still alive! Make sure to check if premium economy is available for the same price because it is for many of the cheap Transaero flights and it gives you a second free bag. Searchable and bookable on kayak.com

Silver

I did the United deal to open a cc & get the $50,000 points and now they are telling me that I can not get the 50K points till the $89 annual fee is paid & that can only be paid after the full year Dec. 2015. Should i keep talking to other reps & supervisors?

jim

Dan
can I do ORD-KTM and stop over in Delhi?

FLy from ORD to Delhi, stay in delhi for 4 days and from there to KTM, Nepal? It says 420000 miles but doesn’t show mention stop over.

Gabbai

The SWISS night flight from Zurich to Tel Aviv in Business is great if they fly the Airbus 330 as advertised. However a smaller Airbus is not infrequently substituted. Then this is not such a sweet deal as the place is more cramped and for some reason on the occasions I have flown it, the service is also not as good.

Daniel Peikes

@dan does this changed to calculation for getting to ISrael, such that one might hack a trip from the us for less than 85K? Would you risk getting in trouble with the airlines for booking a roud trip within a round trip (Nested Ticket).
