Talking about credit cards, I called up Citi to consolidate 2 Amex AAdvantage together, and the rep tolled me that since Aug 17 (apparently as a result of the Obama administration rewriting the rules for the credit card companies) you can no longer consolidate cards together.
Dan do you have any info about this? does it mean that I will have to just cancel the card? will affect my credit score?

Do you suggest the conversion of amex points to any of these 5 options. Anything here that you would say to jump on ?

Would it be worth transfering 100,000 MR points to delta for 120,000 even though I do not need it now and are not sure where I want to fly yet, just in order to get the bonus mileage?
I can also then cancel my AMEX green card which I have just to keep my MR points.
