they have a sale now buy 3 for the price of one (550$),think there’s another 50% off that?
July 19th, 2009 at 5:43 pm
No. It’s a new sale and can’t be combined. The new sale is one suit for $99. The old one is 3 for $550 which means $183 for each. Meaning the new sale is much better.
Dan: It is 50% off ONLY the clearance items.

“Dan: It is 50% off ONLY the clearance items.”
I take that back. But only the 50% off clearance is an amazing deal.

Anyone know the quality of their clothing? What other designer name would you compare them to? Do they have any no-iron shirts like Brooks Brothers?

Are you allowed to buy new clothes during the Three Weeks?
July 20th, 2009 at 10:47 am
@Anon:
@Giorgies:
There’s no issue of buying new clothes within the 3 weeks before the 9 days.

I always thought buying new clothes was not allowed during the 3 weeks.
I’m pretty sure that WEARING new clothes is not allowed as it would require a Shehecheyanu to be said.

If there is a loss of money there maybe a heter.

Quicky on the Halacha. I’m fairly certian that buying a $1,000 suit for $100 is considered a financial issue and would be permitted during this period due to the loss. If the sale extended past Tisha B’Av it would not be permitted. No different than Chol Hamoed. Check with your local Ruv, that is what I did a few years ago.
Just bought a gold suit for $100 originally tagged at $995 and 5 dress pants for $34 each!
Thanks Dan.

I checked it up today and it said that if there is a financial loss by putting off the purchase, it may be done in the 3 weeks.
I bought a Signature Gold Suit ($995 tag price) for $99.50 and a Signature dress shirt ($99.50 tag price) for $10. I’m one happy customer.
What happened is I went to the branch right off the Jackie Robinson in Queens, and they told me that they stopped carrying clearance two months ago. I thereby asked the Cashier if we can browse through what the company carries on his computer. So I found on the site clearance merchandise and I asked him to deduct off of those prices 50%. So he told me that the web site clearance price is includes the 50% deduction. So i told him that it’s not indicated anywhere on the website, so I said that he should ask his manager. He did and he honored the 50%. I think by now the website clearly states “all remaining clearance merchandise reduced 50%”. But when I went, it didn’t say that on the site so I basically got 75% off the clearance price!! Thank G-D I was one happy shopper!
