The Studio XPS 13 is a beautiful laptop.  Dell recently gave it to me as a replacement for my beloved 4 year old 700m.  It has a very thin footprint, and a vibrant 13.3″ screen.

It has great looking leather exterior accent strip, edge-to-edge LCD or LED screen, slot-loading cd/dvd burner, webcam, and a great illuminated full size keyboard.  It also comes with ports galore (2xUSB, esata, HDMI, SD slot, as well as a few others)

My laptop (with 2.4GHz core 2 duo, 64 bit OS, 4gb ram, 7,200RPM Hard Drive, 802.11n, and a GeForce video card) is blazing fast, with none of the Vista sluggishness that I’ve experienced on other computers.

In the past Dell rarely has put out coupons for the XPS line, so this offer is pretty good!

The only downside is the battery life, which is rectified by the purchase of an additional battery.

yo dan i also have a 700m which is on its last leg, had it for 4 1/2 years already and i think its past due for a new one; especially with my warranty expired and all! how’d you get dell to send you a new one? wondering if i could pull off the same “shtick”

thanks,
and love your work.

Bz

How do I get dell to GIVE me a replacement?

Unless you have a 64 bit processor and a 64 bit version of windows you get almost nothing out of upgrading to 4gb of ram. A 32 bit system can’t take advantage of more than abt 3 and a half gb.

@Bz: @dan wannabe:
I had complete care.

@myr707:
Studio XPS 13 comes as a 64 bit system.
