if i use it as an external hard drive, do i need to plug it in to the wall as well, or does it get all the power from the comp?

i bought the hard drive but the enclosure is out of stock,can you post a different link so i could by a different enclosure i am having a hard time finding a proper one for the hard drive & a good deal!
