SMOKING HOT! Purchase Delta Skymiles At Less Than 1.1 Cents Per Mile!!!
Related: Apply for a first year fee-free Delta Consumer AMEX or Delta Business AMEX and get 20,000 (when applying for the base card) or 25,000 miles (when applying together with 2 additional fee-free cardholders) for each card!
Delta is currently running a promotion for double miles when transferring miles to someone else’s Delta Skymiles account.
You can transfer a maximum of 30,000 miles at a time. The cost to transfer 30,000 miles is 1 cent per mile plus a $30 processing fee for a total of $330. The “recipient” will then receive 60,000 miles in their account.
The cost for 30,000 miles is thus 1.1 cents per mile, but it is actually even lower because the purchaser will also receive miles on their credit card for the purchase-if you have a Delta Skymiles AMEX you will get double miles for the purchase!
Delta normally charges about 3 cents per mile to buy miles.
The promotion applies for mileage transferred in October.
It shouldn’t be too hard to find uses for the miles that net well over 1.1 cents per mile.
-A maximum of 300,000 miles (excluding the bonus) can be transferred into any individual SkyMiles account per calendar year.
-Up to 150,000 miles can be deducted from a Skymiles account per calendar year.
-Transfer Miles transactions are nonrefundable and may take up to seven days to post to the recipient’s account.
-Bonus miles will be posted to the recipient’s account 4-6 weeks after the transfer transaction is complete.

what stops anyone from going from one account to another, back and around, and keep on rotating the same miles for multiple bonuses???

YEHUDA–nothing is theoretically going to stop u from rotating miles back and forth BUT in reality you couldn’t because the miles only post to the recipient 4-6 weeks later—after the promo ends!

@METZIAMAN:
The miles post right away, but the bonus miles dont post until later.
You can definitely keep shuffling miles you already have many times though.
