what is standard that a basic system needs ,no gaming. I gont know how much ram or gigs or storage is average or basic.Please let me know this looks like a pretty good deal and is the warranty extension worth it?they give standard one year, THANKS DAN

If you want to run Vista you need at least 2 gigs RAM and you need to upgrade the graphics card.
You probably want to upgrade to the cd/dvd burner.
Unless you’re storing a bunch of movies 160GB hard drive will be fine to start you off.
As for extending the Warranty, I think it depends on you. if you can fix it yourself when you have trouble then it’s not worth it, if not it’s probably worth it.
Is this a great deal ? It seems very cheap. Or am I just not getting much bang for my buck. Again I need a basic system

This is the perfect deal for a basic system, and it’s nice and slim as well.
Just upgrade the RAM to at least 2GB and you’ve got a very nice basic system with a massive LCD widescreen.
