Ours works perfectly for challah every week.
I am using this one to replace a 6 year old identical one. Kitchenaid Mixers (parts by whirlpool) has definitely gone down in quality. Very few things haven’t !!!!

It ok but you can find this mixer all over the internet for less and without all the hassle of shopping with kohls.
