“Enjoy both handsfree communication on the go and wireless stereo music from your Bluetooth-compatible cell phone (or PDA or PC) with the Sony Ericsson HBH-DS970. Enjoy excellent audio quality for stereo music and call handling with fast automatic volume adjustment and Digital Signal Processing (DSP). And when the phone rings, a glance at the display reveals the name or number of your caller, allowing you to choose to accept or reject the call.
The multipoint function–which connects to two wireless devices simultaneously–enables you to listen to the music files from a computer, PDA or other Bluetooth devices while remaining connected to their mobile phone, staying available for every call.”

reviews are not impressive…… I’ve been looking to find a decent bluetooth headset that will make me and my callers (listening to me) happy. I have yet to find one – even the really expensive onces (like the expensive jawbone) that work at least as well as cordless phones. They all have some kind of volume/echo/white noise problem. When someone finds a bluetooth that works as well as a typical cordless phone…. gimme a call

If you’re willing to pay for it, I’ve been extremely happy with the Sony Ericsson IV840.

I guess w/ the iv840/ 835 its a hit or miss. If it fits well in your ear (and by extension, having a thing in your ear for a while doesn’t bother you) and therefore doesn’t fall, then its ok. Also, battery life has been a complaint, but I guess sacrifices need to be made somewhere..
Maybe I’ll try it one day..thanks

Are you kidding? Battery life on the iv840 is never-ending! The iv835’s battery was quite short, but the iv840 has a really, really long battery life.
It has 3 sizes of earbuds, and I far prefer the earbud to a hook. It fits in my ear perfectly, although I can see how that may be a problem if none of the sizes fit well…

These won’t work with the centro I take it.

It will if you get a program giving the Centro A2DP capabilities.

This little lovely device just stopped working. I bought it in May 08 on Amazon. Dan, any ideas on how I can get it replaced? I stupidly didn’t use my Amex (tho I’ve now put it in as my only Amazon billing method).
