Update 2: DEAD!

Update: People have commented that they have been able to use this promo for Switzerland and Niagara Falls without using a Mastercard….

No, this is not $50 off per night, but $20 off per night ain’t too shabby either!

Expedia Linky

-Just search for any hotel stay finishing before 04/30.

-Click on the “price” radio button to find the least expensive hotels in your search area.

-Find the hotel that you want and click on “Book it.”

-On the rate details page is a spot for a coupon, use the following coupon code and then click apply and reprice: MCAHOTEL20

-There is no minimum/maximum stay length. 1 night or 20 nights will still get you $20 off per night.

A Mastercard may be required.

i have 15,000 membership rewards reward on an amex card that i’m closing. According to what i understand from Dan, Starwood points are the best points to have, so i am going to transfer the 15000 points to 5000 starwood points (1000mr=333 starwood points). However, the terms and conditions say “Subject to all terms and conditions of the Starwood Preferred Guest program. To redeem, you must have a qualified stay at a Starwood property posted to member’s account within the last 12 months.” Is this true? I rarely stay at hotels. If this is true, whats the best thing to do with 15,000 MR points from amex?

Dan/Ctownbochur

You definitely don’t need a stay at Starwood to redeem that.

Mind you, I don’t think that trading 3 MR points for 1 Starpoint is a very compelling deal.

Continental or Flying Blue at 1:1 would be better choices.
