Correction: I bought the cheaper model,

both models are the same machine, just the more expensive model comes with a “Compact battery operated S-Trimmer”

(also the $5 rebate only shows 79524, while the more expensive one is 79524-1001)

so I would not call it “lower-end Wahl haircutting machine” as they are both the same high quality machine.

i bought this product a while ago in wal-mart, and was disatisfied for a few reasons. a) it would not cut smoothly. b) although it has a trimmer, the machine would scratch the skin when shaping the neckline. c) the trimmer broke after my first time using it.
so i just stick to my old wahl that i bought for $30, almost 3 yrs old, it works just fine.

which model did you buy? (I don’t think wal-mart sells this model, they sell a cheaper one)
