There is a reason they give it for free, the service is terrible. I am a member of costco, sams and BJs and betwwen the three of them the help at bjs is the worst. The pricing is no better than fair and the return policy is the worst , only 30 days and 14 for computers, etc. Only buy a few items there, for regular use the other 2 are much better.
Do they charge an additional amount at the checkout with this quazi membership?

Costco has a much wider selection of Kosher products and a better return policy. BJ’s will let you combine newspaper coupons with their coupons. That will work out better for diapers, wipes, etc.
They also accept all tenders, ma shein kain SAMs and costco
