1. is amtrack MC the only World Mastercard with no annual fee?
2. is there a way to transfer less than 5,000 starpoints to southewest?
(i have 14,000 starpoints and the the 8 points southwest promo; if i transfer 4,000 starpoints via amtrack, it gives me the 8 remaining southwest points for 1 domestic ticket, and still leaves me with 10,000 starpoints, eligible for the 5,000 point bonus with 1 more card).

1. It’s definitely the only miles earning World Mastercard with no fee.
2. I think the 5,000 minimum transfer only applies to Continental. You should be able to transfer 4,000 starpoints to Amtrak.

Dan, Southwest just put an anouncement on their website: Notification of Rapid Rewards Rule Change: Effective December 8, 2007, Southwest Airlines reserves the right to amend, suspend, or terminate the Rapid Rewards program at any time, with 30 days notice. This constitutes a revision of Rapid Rewards rule #27, which currently states: Southwest Airlines reserves the right to amend, suspend, or terminate this program at any time, with six (6) months notice. Though we will always attempt to provide as much advance notice of changes as possible, this rule change allows us to implement enhancements or changes to Rapid Rewards in a more timely manner. View a complete list of Rapid Rewards Membership Rules.
Do you think this will affect the whole points system that were all in middle of doing to get those free tickets???

it seems from amtrak’s website that the choicepoints are purchased in increments of 25,000 for 5,000 amtrack points. (there doesn’t seem to be another unit of transfer)

I got smacked with financial review for my American Express cards and they blocked spending privileged. How do I get out of it?
I had it in the past and they closed my accounts.

Zalman:
I’m not sure what you are trying to say…5,000 amtrak points can be exchanged for 25,000 choice points.
Jeff:
Thanks for the update.
Mordy:
I haven’t seen any official limits…
According to Google you are allowed multiple accounts, although not for the purpose of getting bonuses…
Urgent:
Try a search for “financial review”

what i mean to say is that (according to the amtrak website) it seems that you need to transfer amtrak points in units of 5,000 minimum.
is that correct? is there a way around that?
