I realize it’s free but nevertheless this business is so egregiously against the concept of tznius, even in comparison with the rest of the fashion industry, that they have no place being supported by yidden.

What Chosid might have meant is that Dan is supporting them by advertising for them. This may well be a Chillul Hashem. Additionally, is it worth the pair of gloves to walk into such a store and appear to be supporting them, never mind who or what else you might see there? I agree with Chosid 100%. Maybe we all need to get a life, ‘the one that we should be living’!

It appears based on visits to 3 separate stores (Downtown Brooklyn, Upper West Side, and Columbia University), that the free gloves are available in only two colors: “Royal Blue” and “Purple.”
Both are “acrylic blend.”

Actually Chosid is 100% right because American Apparel is known for being one of the most innapropriate labels out there and although there is nothing wrong with gloves themselves, the store itself isn’t a place where anybody should go.

Actually examples of chillul hashem ares treating non-jews as inferior, or scamming others just because they are not jewish, or wearing the kippa and tzizit and smelling disgusting and being all dirty, and the list goes on and on…

You can only get these if you are already signed up for their emails! I walked into uws location and the linky was not good enough, they needed to see an original email.
