@super-anon, There were plenty of deals this winter you could have gotten in on.
@Dan, does this work for a one way ticket from TLV? My kids are there for the year and I need two tickets home.

It applies to people living in Israel so speak for yourself. People in Israel also need deals back home. Super-anon I’ll email you a tissue for your disappointment. Thanks Dan!

Is there b any chance a published date by when travel must be completed? i.e. Can I use this to return to Israel after Pesach for summer zman (i.e. a week or two into April)? Or do I have to start experimenting with dates now, to see how late I can push it?

Just want to mention a caveat emptor–I flew Iberia for Chanukah to Israel with my daughter, using Dan’s $700 deal from back in May. I don’t blame Dan for this, but we had a horrible experience with Iberia on the flights home (and I suspect we might have also on the way there, but thankfully those flights were managed by American and El Al). We were assailed with everything from rude agents and surprise security checks to having a brand new rolling duffel bag manhandled and torn open somewhere en route, losing $50 worth of cosmetics in the process. Suffice it to say I will not be buying any more “deals” from Iberia.

If you are having trouble finding TLV as the starting point on iberia.com, make sure on the top bar you set the country to Israel and the language to English. I just booked a ticket to go to NY in May. And lease DO keep posting these deals, some of us Jews live in Israel :-)

Looking for a discount flight in September, 2013 to New York from Tel Aviv. This flight on Iberia has the right price but, even as I read from previous comments here, I’m reluctant to fly Iberia because of their lousy reputation in dealing with passengers. Any new (after February 2013) reports on Iberia service?
