Dan one thing I am still not clear about; if my goal is to book a flight from Newark to Israel using Amex points is it better to transfer AMEX points to ANA and use those miles to book a United flight or to transfer the Amex miles to Air Canada and then try and book a United flight. Since in both scenarios they are united flights so no fuel surcharges right?, so which is the better option? any advantages of one over the other? or is there a better option i am missing

"You can’t 3BM different banks."

I apologize for the follow up but isn't Starwood part of AMEX? I was referring to an earlier reply when someone asked what you recommend for additional cards to the AMEX Business Gold for the 3BM and the reponse was "Starwood consumer, Premier Gold Consumer, and Starwood business are all great cards that are free for a year"

I saw AMEX lists the Starwood when you click to view all cards. Am I missing something? Thanks for the timely response!
