Groupon tip: I have seen Groupon gift cards at CVS. The cards are not a set denomination; you can specify any amount at the register. Use your Chase Freedom card to buy the gift card for one cent less than you need, then pay the last cent with your Chase Freedom card for extra points with Chase Freedom Exclusives.
Why not the full amount on chase freedom

got these in december for $34 after tax. any way to get a refund. i bought 2

He mean that you should buy the gc for a penny less so you can use the freedom again when making the actual purchase from groupon.
Very impractical.
