I sent 2 msgs on Jan 20 re southwest and air tran. I am just finishing the spending can u pls let me know if the air tran required 2 or 3K spending and if u can respond to my msg from 1/20/2013. Thanks so much.

I also got the Air Tran card but did not spend the 3k yet. Can I tfr from Air Tran to Southwest to satisfy the 110k. Alternatively, What is the min UR points to tfr to Hyatt and then to Southwest. Thanks so much. !!!!

I got 2 Southwest cards (cons & bsns) but did not spend yet the 2k on each. If I don’t want spend another 6k what are my other options to get the 110k. Thanks for all your help,

@Alan: You were misinformed. If you earn 110K points from SW cards in the same calendar year you will the companion pass, as have hundreds of others.

The companaion pass is NOT true for this offer. I followed your suggestion , received 2 cards for 50,000 points each
and spent $10,000 for a total of 110,000 points. SW refused to categorize me as having a companion fare as the fine print says that it is only for “revenue flights” and NOT bonus miles. This offer wsnot presented correctly. Sad but true.

I applied via 3BM for:
1) Case Southwest personal: instant approval
2) Case Southwest business: Pending – I called Recon and got it approved
3) Case Slate personal: Pending – I called Recon and they told me I was denied because you can only get approved 2 Case cards in 30 days.

After offering to transfer credit line etc… they put me on a long hold and said no, only 2 cards every 30 days. The only way to get approved is to close one of the Southwest card that I was approved of today, not an older card.

Any advice?

If I opened two cards for 50k each, but under different Rapid Reward numbers, will merging them into one account work towards the 110k total?

Now it’s 25k points after 1k spend.
Any idea how to still get the old offer of 50k points after 2k spend?
