Missed Out On Small Business Saturday? Just Send A Secure Message…

There have been at least a dozen people reporting success on DDF with getting Small Business Saturday (11/24/2012) credits after the fact.

Their circumstances range from stores that didn’t actually make the charge until Sunday, to receiving their additional user cards after Saturday, to merchants forgetting to charge their card at all, to even just simply forgetting to use some of their registered cards on Saturday.

You can send a secure message by logging into your AmericanExpress.com account.

    Did Amex issue the credits yet? I got a message Saturday night thanking me for using the card.
    But I don’t see the credit yet. Did they issue the credits yet?

    dan i got the credits for all my cards but i want to add users so that i have the max next year. is there any risk in adding up to the max (99) on 3 different accts that i have? I already have 12 on each one. should i add little by little?

    That will basically guarantee you a financial review…tread lightly.

    Any advise on if we have an Amex card through another bank (therefor no account on americanexpress.com)? My purchase on my Citi Amex card didn’t go through until Sunday.

    @David:
    As I said in the original post,
    “This will also work with 3rd party AMEX cards like those from Citi, however if for whatever reason you do not get credit automatically getting it manually will be extremely difficult. With AMEX issued cards it’s easy to be credited manually via a secure message online.”

    I got credited on my Citi AMEX, but it’s very difficult to get credited if it’s not automatic.

    I have had a financial review from amex four years ago and I submitted all my documents. If I apply for many more cards, will I risk another review. I passed the review with no problems.

    @Anonymous:
    You definitely risk another review. But if you make the cards for real people and have reported income then you’ll pass again.

    I got all my credits except for Eichlers online, which they said in a post would count. Anyone else with the same issue?

    Dan,

    when you say “tread lightly” can you quantify that a bit? I.E. what amount of AU do you thing would set off amex alarms ? Also, can an AU be anyone or does it need to be a family member or some other criteria? thanks

    Does any Amex review affect your credit in any way? What information do they ask for or review?

    @yg: How greedy can you be???People like you ruin any deal out there for the rest, anything i reason is OK, but 99 cards, maybe you should get 99 for th wife, brother, sister in law and have enough to retire.

    Not surprising, but I had no trouble getting the credit on cards in which I achieved $25 over multiple purchases (i.e., not in a single purchase).

    How many au do you think would trigger a financial review? Am I ok with 8 au’s on 2 diff cards?
    Thanks

    I had the same thing as you, last year on 2 citi cards I called citi and the credited my accts for $50. I then called Amex to complain and they put an additional $50 on one of my other Amex cards after making a conference call with myself and citi to verify the transactions. Then about three months later the automated system kicked in with another $25 + $5 interest. All told I got $80 per card (not bad for spending $25)!

    I am not sure why you are upset and calling him names. Is he taking anything away from you?
    He can have a thousand cards and it won’t effect you. You can get them too and to my knowledge SBS did not deny anyone the $25
