Keep in mind that Amazon ONLY sells Apple MacBooks cheaper because they do not include the iTunes Gift Card that comes with an Apple Store purchase. If you add the iTunes gift card, it comes to the same price as the Apple Store. This is also a lower-than-usual price for Amazon right now because the Apple store prices are $100 off for the season.

FYI — Amazon now applies sales tax to California orders. This went into affect a few months ago.
@Dan – It just makes the deal not an “incredible run out and buy it now” type of thing. It is only a few dollars more expensive (if you have a family member teaching or in school who can order it for you). I also live in LA so I guess I am subject to the Amazon taxes 🙁
