Pinjo

does this include laptops?

bklyn

But the Amazon gift cards add $2 or $3 at purchase

Dan

@Pinjo:
Yes.

@bklyn:
Huh?
There are no fees to buy Amazon, or any other store gift cards.

moshe

how do you return without paying return shipping?

Dan

@moshe:
If an item is defective then return shipping is free.

moshe

where can i buy amazon gc in office stores?

bs

and when u abuse the return policy, u get blacklisted! not worth it!

Dan

@moshe:
Just go into your local Office Max, Office Depot, or Staples and they sell gift cards.
Amazon and Kindle gift cards both work at Amazon.com

@bs:
What do they consider abuse? You would probably have to do dozens of returns before they might take any action.

moshe

thanks dan
btw the amex 200$ cards you wrote about i did and received the bonus thanks but please advice at which atms i can cash them for free

bs

i know someone who twice bought laptops to “try” and after he returned the second one saying it was defective his account stopped working. just saying they are not stupid.

Dan

@bs:
Sure, but how many other total returns on “defective” items did he do?

I really don’t think they’re shutting down anyone’s account for 2 returned items.

s

could i claim its defective even if its not?

Levi

How about purchases made from amazon warehouse deals?

DealsSeeker

Dan,
I bought T Mobile Gift cards at Office Depot and was charged a fee. There are some gift cards with fees.

Mw

You could also just pay the few dollars to ship it back and not Claim it was defective

st

i know shoprite definitely charges a convenience fee for buying giftcards to other stores.

Chanie

@s chilul hashem. Many retailers don’t take returns from certain frum neighborhoods!

Dan

I bought a ton of Amazon Kindle gift cards at Office Max with my Ink card when they were on sale for 20% off (plus 10% back with Ink).

There were definitely no fees on any store gift cards there.

You have a point Joseph. We don’t need to take advantage of every opportunity given. After all we are being watched…

I used to work for a (Jewish) company that sold on amazon and also FBA. they lost a lot of money from people buying and then returning claiming “defective”. They used to test all the products returned as defective, and then fight with amazon to get their money back as the item wasn’t really defective. (as an aside, Amazon keeps tabs on those who buy and return often, as the companies file claims with amazon that the item really works fine.) Additionally, they lost money on shipping, which is often free. It is DISHONEST to say something is defective if it isn’t. you can always buy something, and then depending on the company’s return policy try to return it and pay for return shipping / restocking fee if there is one. If the item sent is not exactly what it is supposed to be, or differs in any way from the item details or description,all money is refunded without a problem.

Dan

@joseph:
When did I tell to people to lie about an item being defective?
