@ No Clu – it is exactly what it sounds like . A) Hot – as opposed to cold , warm or room temp and B) Open – as opposed to a closed sandwich where the top layer of bread is placed on the sandwich .
Is this clause really what is stopping an otherwise definite purchase of this offer from you ?

I am not sure about this deal, is it for $37.50 worth of anything that you want or only $37.50 and you must get two sandwiches and two SMALL soups.
#1 I dont want a sandwich and # 2 if I buy it without this groupon it would only cost $26 so where is the 37.50? I think this deal sucks!
Please advise if you see it differently since I am going to call groupon to get back the money I just spent on buying the deal.
oh here is their website, see how this will not get anywhere close to $37.50 if it is only for a (2) sandwich and a (2) small soup.

It should not be on this site if it is a crappy deal, we expect only great deals from Dan!
I also went to their website and I could not find even one combination that would get you anywhere close to 37.50 by taking two sandwiches and two soups. It makes me sick to my stomach and I have not even cashed in my groupon and ate their crappy food yet!
I clicked on Mendy’s in Manhattan and there are $13.95 sandwiches and $4.95 soups.
For Crown Heights it seems to top out at $10.95 and $4 each, but that’s still $30 of food for $19.
@Samuel: by no means it’s their food crappy. It’s still a good sandwich that at least some DD followers buy every day. so this will definitely save them money.
Worst deal. They charge half the price and give you less than half the usual meat. I would never buy a groupon for Mendys again
