Daily Getaway For 04/23: Wyndham Points

Tomorrow you will be able to buy Wyndham points on the cheap. The sale starts at 1pm EST or at noon with a presale passcode that you get attain by following Wyndham on Facebook and checking out their wall on Monday.

Why should you care?

Because you can get 1 airline mile for every 2.5 Wyndham points as follows (Login required for link to work) :
-8,000 Wyndham points transfers into 3,200 miles with airlines like Air Berlin, Air Canada, American, Delta, Frontier, United, and USAirways.
-17,500 Wyndham points transfers into 7,000 miles with those airlines.
-30,000 Wyndham points transfers into 12,000 miles with those airlines.

-Package 1: “1 Night at a Super 8 for Only $55″ This is actually 16,000 points and the price will be $49.50 (.309 cents per Wyndham point) if you pay with an AMEX card. They will be selling 750 of these packages including 150 sold at presale. You can transfer 16,000 points into 6,400 miles, or .773 cents per mile.
-Package 2: “2 Nights at a Days Inn for Only $76″ This is actually 28,000 points and the price will be $68.40 (.244 cents per Wyndham point) if you pay with an AMEX card. They will be selling 350 of these packages including 75 sold at presale. If this is the only package you get and you have nothing to do with the leftover points you can transfer 25,500 points into 10,200 miles, or .67 cents per mile.
-Package 3: “2 Nights at a Ramada for Only $110″ This is actually 32,000 points and the price will be $99 (.309 cents per Wyndham point) if you pay with an AMEX card. They will be selling 350 of these packages including 70 sold at presale. You can transfer 32,000 points into 12,800 miles, or .773 cents per mile.
-Package 4: “2 Nights at a Wyndham Hotels & Resorts: $143″ This is actually 50,000 points and the price will be $128.70 (.257 cents per Wyndham point) if you pay with an AMEX card. They will be selling 300 of these packages including 70 sold at presale. If this is the only package you get and you have nothing to do with the leftover points you can transfer 49,500 points into 19,800 miles, or .65 cents per mile.
-Package 5: “3 Nights at Wingate for Only $165″ This is actually 48,000 points and the price will be $148.50 (.309 cents per Wyndham point) if you pay with an AMEX card. They will be selling 250 of these packages including 50 sold at presale. You can transfer 48,000 points into 19,200 miles, or .773 cents per mile.

“1 set of points may be purchased for this offer per Wyndham Rewards account number. Up to 6 sets of points may be purchased in total for any Wyndham Rewards offer in this promotion per customer/account number.”

    fyi i checked a weekly rental -it was less than 49,000 points so thats like 120 $ for week rental not bad.

    chances are that most of you won’t get a package anyway. unless you are quick at the second that the deal starts.

    There are “only” about 45,000 who “like” wyndham on FB and 8,000 people discussing this deal!

    with the transfers at 17,500 or 30,000 I think my best bet would be two 17,500 and one 30000 that would equal 65,000 points , that transfers over to 26,000 airline points and I paid 178.20 for them comes out to .00685 per point thats pretty good

    Got 28,000 and 50,000. Wrote a quick program that clicked on all “buy now”s simultaneously, but it was glitchy – gonna improve it for next time.
    Can anyone tell me how to transfer these points into something worth flying miles?

    @quick No idea how I got them both. Almost never get these deals. My wideband internet connection can’t hurt but I don’t know if it actually helped.
