If i read the terms correctly… this ticket will allow you to put in a code on aa.com on any fare they have…I dont know about the spouse or kids only part…

I need to go from LA – Peurto Rico.
AA.com has a direct flight for 600 roundtrip. My whole family (6 of us) is going together… so w/ the companion ticket it will be 300 a person… and thats a great deal (considering that noone else flies direct from lax and that the cheapest I could find right now is 450 each ticket.)

Even if I pay 450 per ticket… it would still be worth it because its direct.

Do you happen to have this companion ticket to refer to? They might have different versions so it might be an old one… Any help would be appreciated… Thanks

Firstly, only the person who’s name is on the companion coupon or his spouse or kids may use it?

Also, it is only valid on purchases of $299 and over, within the U.S.

Also, the only tickets that are covered are the expensive classes/inventory. In other words, even if you found a ticket to L.A. for $300, for example, you would probably not be able to apply the coupon. They’ll tell you that you have to purchase a $550 ticket. (It would be a more flexible ticket, however).

Finally, even if you are successful in applying the coupon, you still must pay a $15 fee (per ticket?) for purchaseing the ticket over the phone, and approximately $20 in taxes.

Still worth it?
