jack

if i use this voucher combined with a credit card to book a car, would i still be covered for car rental insurance from the cc company?

Avis

Great deal, especially if you use a corporate code with it, which will also reduce the price…

rayman

if i already have an avis rental can i apply the voucher afterward? and can i use it while using the chabad corporate?

chana

can i apply it to a rental i have now? or it can only be used for future rentals?

moshe

The chabad corporate at enterprise is much cheaper then the 40 dollar savings your gonna get on avis.

you might as well use the chabad corporate and not waste the 20 bucks to buy the avis discount.

chaim

@moshe:
avis corporate codes are even cheaper than enterprise corporate codes. and you can even use this coupon on top of avis corporate codes.

MMB

what is the avis chabad corporate code??????

bochur

@mmb
corporate X372891

Andrew

What is the catch to using this corp rate code?

bochur

@Andrew: it gets you discounted rates, waives the underage fee

Avis

X192286 is a fantastic avis AWD (corporate code).
it can surely be used with this coupon, and the coupon will reduce the rental charge by $40…

GroovyToovy

DAN a logic question…

Usually Avis only allows ONE coupon. Is this the case with this Groupon coupon. If so and you are renting for a week..there are usually $15-25 off weekly rate coupons out there. Why would someone spend $20 to get $20 off when they can do it for free?

For a two day rental (•Minimum 2-day rental id a term of the deal)..this seems pretty good.

hertz

Hertz has a coupon code for 40 dollars off a weekly rental so if your renting for a week its actually not a gret deal…

BaseballFan

So it seems to be a voucher and not a coupon. I would think that at the end of the rental you could go to the desk and check out with it and the CC and as long as there is no damage to the car the credit card protection issue would be moot.

BaseballFan

Well, just checked and it requires a specific AWD…so that prevents usage of Costco code, USAA, ect. Just tried it on a rental I have reserved and it is not as good as Costco for that one.

Dave

Guys belive it or not, I’m in Alaska so it won’t work!

Kness

@BaseballFan: The whole point of CC protection is that you are covered in case you damage the car. So your example doesn’t work.

This is a serious point- and I’d like Dan’s input on this. What’s the point of saving $20 on a Groupon voucher when it makes you ineligible for CC CW protection? CW protection can cost $25/day alone! The CC terms usually say that you have to charge the FULL cost of the rental from a legitimate car rental agency on your CC. And Groupon is not a car rental agency.

Dan- any input???

yossi

can i combine 100 of these for one rental?
