Amazon Wireless Store Linky

Amazon Wireless has great price for new phones with new plans or for phone upgrades.

For example if you want a 4G LTE smartphone from Verizon you would pay $299 for the Samsung Droid Charge, or $249 for the HTC Thunderbolt or LG Revolution.

On Amazon Wireless a Samsung Droid Charge is just $129, the HTC Thunderbolt is just $99, and the LG Revolution is free with a new plan!

Sprint charges $149 for a Samsung Epic or $99 for a EVO 4G, but from Amazon those phones are just $49 and free respectively!

Amazon offers free shipping with $35+ orders or get free next-day shipping on all orders with a free trial of Amazon Prime. If I order a verizon phone on tuesday and receive out on thursday would I qualify for unlimited data? In other words, does the plan start on the order date or the receive date? Thanks

Crunch

I’m on Sprint SERO ($30/month) with a Palm Centro. Anyone know how my plan would be effected by getting a Epic or EVO?

Thanks!

yossi4k

@Crunch: Hey same here ! Basically I found out that you can get the EVO or EVO 3D but you would be paying $20 more a month for 4g. But included in that is unlmtd any mobile. For the record, you can get the EVO 3D for $149.99 on amazon but from sprints its $199.99!

Crunch

@yossi4k:

When paying the additional $20 per month ($240/year plus tax!) do you get more than 500 minutes?

@yossi4k
I’m also on the same plan. I went into a sprint store about a year ago and asked how much more per month it would cost to get a blackberry. they said an extra $20. but now I see that for 4g is also an extra $20. does it still cost $20 for the blackberry, or did it go down?

@cholentfresser
I’m also on such a plan and I have a palm centro, Sprint just told me when I asked to upgrade for a BB that I’ll have to pay additional $20 per month

Im in the same boat- I wanna hurry up and get grandfathered in for unlimited data. Wirefly.com and amazon wireless have the same prices on all the phones after doing research on the phone i want. I spoke to verizon this morning and they said that if you order a phone online it must be activated before july 7th so if u order from amazon today u wont get it until thusrday and it will be too late, but u can get overnight shipping from wirefly if u order before 3pm tomorrow so u wld get it on Wednesday.

This price is not for an upgrade on an existing line

as an AT&T customer
If you finally want good customer service, go with Amazon wireless.
1. You get 30 days of helpful and friendly service
2. 30 day free returns with no restacking fee
3. It’s always cheaper
I once walked in to an AT&T store and asked them how Amazon can charge less then everyone else even AT&T. the reps answer was that if you ever change your data plan that you selected at point of sale. Amazon will charge you a lot of money. This is not true. I spoke to multiple managers with Amazon wireless that night confirming this with them.
The only downsides are you can’t use Amazon gift cards to buy it and It will take a day or two to get to you.

COSTCO LOVER

If you are wiling to pay a little more than amazon wireless you can get your upgrades at costco try it for 90 days without any fees

@cruch, @yossi4k etc…
I have the Sero plan too, a couple of months ago i switched up to an android (3G) phone. they upped my plan $10 to $40 a month. its not a $10 add on, its a new plan (not called sero anymore), which means you still have the 500 min, yet its free to any other mobile phone on any network, your 500 min are only being used on calls to landlines.
you of course have unlimited internet etc… so its still an amazing plan!
the same goes for switching to a BB. (i did that on another line i have) your only going to be paying $40 for any 3G or BB phone.
yet the 4G phones im told is a $20 upgrade.

Dovid

It seems like these prices are only for new lines. Upgrading an existing line is at least as expensive as using Sprint directly. In fact, the Evo 4g is $149.99 on Amazon Wireless with an upgrade ($49.99 with a new plan). Sprint’s website has it for $99.99, whether it’s an upgrade or a new plan.

Puzzled

The Thunderbolt comes up at $199.

pearl

I have sprint sero & i switched from a centro to bb curve in august 2010. only an extra $10 a month charge.

shim

i have a sprint EDRP(employee disc rate plan) plan which is a plan that you pay 0 a month for unlimited min messaging data ect does anyone know if it will get messed up if i upgrade?? i have this plan for about 2 years now on a blckberry and my bill is 0 and i mean 0 a month!

yudellio

I just got the samsung epic two weeks ago for one cent and free 2 day shipping from amazon wireless. They have amazing deals all the time.

mosh

I just went to order a phone, and it would not allow me to do, it because i was 1 month shy of my two years. you contract needs to be up in order to get the phones..

Yankee

I dont get it.
Is amazon a carrier? and if not, how exactly do THEY give you customer service for a third party cellphone plan?

whYME

@Crunch:
“When paying the additional $20 per month ($240/year plus tax!) do you get more than 500 minutes?”
Yes, you get AMAT.
fyi if you get a non-4g smartphone you’ll only need to pay $10 more. (only on SERO, not EPRP)

whYME

you cannot upgrade a SERO phone through Amazon, it has to be directly from Sprint.
(unless there’s some shtick I don’t know about)
