dan this deal was insane!!!
i bought this last week for $179. Even though the check out page said $179 it only charged me $154.
then i got a $25 gift card in the mail, so that was like paying $129.
now i just called amazon for a price adjustment. they said they dont do that so i asked to just return the camera and they came back and gave me a $30 refund instead.
final price, $99!

walmart has canon sd1300 for 109 with free 4gb sd card…which is a better deal? is this that much of a better camera??

This is a better camera than the 1300.
It takes HD video and it has many new Canon features, such as Smile Self-Timer, Wink Self-timer and Face Self-timer, and other features and modes as well.

The Gift card is dead.
The SD card is free, but only for the Silver or Pink cameras. I just tried it again and it still works.
i just called amazon and told them that i placed the camera in my cart when the promo was still going on so they just gave me the 25 dollar credit to my account! before i even bought the camera, lol! going to purchase it now!
also the 1400 is a bit smaller and is made of metal while the 1300 is made of plastic more.

It worked for me as well, I called in to Amazon that I saw the offer for a free $25 gift card when i added it to the cart but it doesn’t show up in my total, so after a whole discussion back and forth, they finally gave me a credit for $25 on this order.
I ordered this last week for 179. Wen i called them for a price adjustment they were only able to offer a $15 credit so I’m just gonna send it back (she said return shipping will be free) and reorder it.

The black one has a free card too. Its the lexar brand for 9.99 look for it on the item page. The one dan has a link to is only for silver and pink and the silver is out of stock.
