Disney bag qualifies for Frontier and (as of April 2017) Spirit’s free personal item (according to the dimension given on buydig.com).
Note the dimensions are for the body, don’t include wheels, handle, etc so if you get a tough gate agent they may try to charge you. If you use it I’d just bring a plastic/shopping bag and put everything in the plastic bag and toss the carry-on bag as it’s much cheaper than paying the ripp-off fee.
Even though it’s a great price, it’s still worthwhile to invest in a serious radar detector. Cheaper ones catch too many false alarms, causing you to turn off the unit and get a ticket if you get caught.
